There’s no absolution for the things I’ve done.
But I found a way to control my impulses.
I became a priest.

As Father Magnus Falke, I suppress my cravings. As the headteacher of a Catholic boarding school, I’m never tempted by a student.

Until Tinsley Constantine.

The bratty princess challenges my rules and awakens my dark nature. With each punishment I lash upon her, I want more. In my classroom, private rectory, and bent over my altar, I want all of her.

One touch risks everything I stand for. My faith. My redemption. And even my life.

As if that could stop me. I need her pain, and her heart, and she needs my lessons in sin.

L'AUTRICE
New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author, Pam Godwin, lives in the Midwest with her husband, their two children, and a foulmouthed parrot. When she ran away, she traveled fourteen countries across five continents, attended three universities, and married the vocalist of her favorite rock band.
Java, tobacco, and dark romance novels are her favorite indulgences, and might be considered more unhealthy than her aversion to sleeping, eating meat, and dolls with blinking eyes.

Ricchi, potenti, incontrastati.

The rough treatment should’ve panicked me, but I loved the feel of his iron grip, the heat of his legs against my backside, and his single -minded focus on teaching me a lesson. I wanted his lessons in sin.

Haley Constantine e Leo Morelli, nella Beauty and the Beast Trilogy di Amelia Wilde

ENGLISH VERSION
ARC provided by Valentine PR in exchange of an honest review.

Pam Godwin's an author capable of intertwining the most perverse erotism with the depth souls of spectacular characters.
Lessons in sin tells the story of Tinsley, the princess of the Constantine family. Rich, powerful people you don't want to deal with. By decision of her mother , Tinsley is forced to attend the Sion Academy of the Sacred Heart, Maine. A school for girls carried out with strict rules and an iron wrist by Father Magnus Falke.
Magnus is an enigmatic character. A man of God, with a past as an unscrupulous entrepreneur, and with unpronounceable secrets. He has no intention of dealing with the Constantines and educating that rebellious, foul-mouthed brat. Yet he has to do it. He immediately realizes that Tinsley's intelligent, different from the spoiled girl she tries to be. Tinsley, for her part, knows that the only way to get expelled and try to regain control of her life's to get in such trouble that her cold mother'll have no choice but to bring her home. Troubles like seduce her teacher. A priest. A man twenty years older than her.

The rough treatment should ’ve panicked me, but I loved the feel of his iron grip di lui, the heat of his legs against my backside, and his single -minded focus on teaching me a lesson. I wanted his lessons by him in sin.

If you have a strong preference for age gap and forbidden romance, this'll satisfy you one hundred percent! What's created between Tinsley and Magnus is a bond between two loneliness, one who agrees to be guided and protected, the other who wants to dominate and control. A mature, intelligent, generous girl, locked in a life she doesn't want. A man who took refuge in God, in faith, to purge his soul, unable to resist the mental, spiritual and ultimately physical attraction to Tinsley.
I loved the first three quarters of the novel, the school episodes and the punishments have that right amount of perversion, eroticism and originality that kept me glued to the pages! Author's words made me feel the sting of humiliation, the smell of blood, the strength of attraction. Very good, in this context, truly majestic.
Towards the end, however, there were several choices that I found quite artificial (like some sex scenes), or too obvious and generic for characters as unique and particular like Magnus and Tinsley. The whole self-sacrifice-because-I-love-you thing was too much like a teenager in love with a vampire. Nope, I didn't like it! But the happy ending, not easy at all, moved me despite the speed of events.
I discovered only after reading, silly me, that Lessons of sin is a standalone that fits into the universe of the Midnight Dynasty: several authors have given their contribution in writing the novels dedicated to the various members of the Constantine family and their archenemies, the Morelli.

Winston Constantine, Cinderella Trilogy by K. Webster
Keaton Constantine, Wicked Idol by Becker Gray, first volume of Hellfire Club Series
Elaine Constantine, Starcrossed Lovers Trilogy by Jade West
Ronan, Dark Hearts Trilogy by M. O' Keefe
Haley Constantine e Leo Morelli, Beauty and the Beast Trilogy by Amelia Wilde

In short, the Constantines have so many stories to tell us, and I can't wait to recover them all! In the meantime, also catch up on the story of Tinsley and Magnus and let me know what you think. To read!
